How it works

Three steps to a number you trust.

  1. Open Rate Card. Enter your all-in hourly cost per role, wage plus payroll burden, not the rate you bill.
  2. Open Settings. Set your overhead percentage and the profit margin you want every job to earn.
  3. Open Job Quote. Name the job, enter the scope size, and pick a service tier.

Questions

Good to know.

Does it cover commercial as well as residential?
Yes. Add the roles and materials you use; the labor, materials and margin logic is identical. Only the rate card changes.
How should I price emergency service calls?
As a separate job with a small scope and the nights-or-weekend add-on applied. A service call priced off a day-rate quote always loses.
Does this work in Excel and Google Sheets?
Both, and it was tested in both. Google Sheets: File > Import, or open and make a copy. Excel 365: open it directly. No macros, no add-ons, nothing to install. One difference worth knowing: Google Sheets draws both charts but leaves the figures off the bars, so the dollar amounts on the charts are an Excel-only touch. Everything you type and every number the workbook calculates is identical in the two.
What is the service tier for?
It scales labor hours for work that is harder than routine. Standard is 1.0, Complex 1.15, Premium 1.30. Enter the hours a routine job would take and let the tier do the multiplying.
I'm not confident with spreadsheets. Will I manage?
Yes. The white cells are the only ones you touch. The Quick-Start Guide has your first real number on screen in about five minutes, and if you get stuck, message me.

One mispriced job costs more than this.

$49 once, and it's yours to keep. It pays for itself the first time it stops you underpricing a job or leaving margin on the table. No subscription, no login, just a file that does the maths.
